Pulled the trigger -- '09 RG, stock
« on: December 26, 2008, 09:34:49 PM »

Maybe this needs to go "off topic" because it's not a CVO.  I just couldn't do it.  What with all the hoopla over the CVO RG, best I could ever hope for would be MSRP.  With the deals on stock 09's I could almost buy 2 stock for the price of 1 CVO.

So that's it, I pulled the trigger on a VIVID BLACK with ABS.  With the extra coin I can have fun making this one my own.

Thanks for all your ideas along the way, I learned a lot.  Will you kick me out if I don't ride a CVO?

Nope...you're more than welcome to stay here.  Not everyone that's a member on this site has a CVO.  ;)  And congrats on the new ride.  :2vrolijk_21:

Congratulations on the new ride.  :2vrolijk_21:

A 09 SERG is very nice however I see myself changing way to much to warrant cutting one up. So a non CVO Road Glide would more than likely be my choice also. ;D

Don't leave PR. They wouldn't let me leave either. I went through the same thing after taking the hit on 2 CVO's I went with a stock ultra. I trade about every year, so who knows. But I traded my 07 SEUC for an 08 Ultra and got $7,000 change. The Ultra is super so far. The 96 has all the power I need. If I have the "need for speed" I can get on the Bandit.

I've got a deposit on the standard Ultra Classic that is due in at the dealer in February.  I'm going to sell or trade my '07 SERK (anyone interested in the SERK keep February in mind) and go with the '09 Ultra of standard variety.  The 96 seems to be good in the torque department and it was only a few years ago that the CVO bikes were just 95 cu. in.

To say the least!!!   ;D

But first, yawn, I'll do my best to make it through the 2 year warranty period with only the allotted exhaust/intake mods.  Believe me, it'll take every bit of self control to hold back.

So I'm thinking it's all about the aesthetics until then.  I picture some nice red flames on that vivid black background, along with a few other tricks.

Thanks for the welcome from everyone.  Your CVO's are still the cat's a--.

NO, YOU MUST LEAVE AT ONCE. Take your puny little 96" motor and go.

Only joking, of course stay, the information we gather should go to all harley owners..........next year.
But, keep in mind, that when you get finished building up a stock bike to your liking, comes out about the same, believe me, I have done the math many times.
