So I guess I may have an extra 6 month window to avoid a $50 deductible.  Now I see why they don't advertise this.  It doesn't amount to much.  Surely, the dealers wouln't want to make this information readily available when they are trying to sell you an extended warranty.  I'm surprised that they don't just build it into the price of the bike and go the route that BMW cars have...4 years warranty with maintenance included.  Then they could start a certified used bike program to help them sell used bikes too.

Capitol idea......and as much as I'd like to, I don't see that happening.

I was told that the warranty on my 09 i purchased three weeks ago wouldn't expire until 4/1/2011, something about giving buyers in selected markets an extension due to the winter weather. I believe HD did the same thing when i bought my 2003.

You can go to the dealership and have them pull it up on their computer then ask them to print it..........just so you'll have something in writing.

Picked up my new 09 SEGR today O/B  Got 3 months on top of the two year warrinty, program started Oct and decreases every month till Feb.2009, then no more till next Oct.  Doc

Doc, are you suggesting that it's a winter incentative by the MoCo to push sales through the slow months each year?

It's apparent that it's not happening only in the snow states, to push sales since I got it in Calif. and you got it in Florida.  Whatever the reason, I'm glad that we got it.  An additional six months or even an additional three months is something.  Now everybody will be waiting till Oct. to buy just so they can get the extra six months warranty.....especially those that aren't sold on the idea of the extended service agreement.

It is designed to push sales in cold weather states, but it applies to all states. If I did not ask about it I would not have recieved it, what the hell its free and thats for me!.  Doc
