CVO SEUC4 COLORS & WHEN AVAILABLE?
« on: December 31, 2008, 10:37:45 AM »

I was under the impression that the orange/harvest gold bikes were first, the bule/silver second and the red ruby/burgandy bikes last to be built and shipped.  Am I correct.  The reason for asking is that mine is being built in mid March and I really wanted the orange/harvest.  Red ruby/maroon was my second choice and that is what it is now scheduled to be.  As far as I can tell, this (orange/harvest) can't happen with a bike built in March.  Anyone out there with real knowledge better than mine?  Appreciate your help.

Richard

First, Welcome to the site!

Second, Best that I can tell there is no one not even the dealers that know what is coming.
In 05 the colors were released one at a time and many people had to wait a long time to get their bike.
The yellow 05's were the last released and that upset people.
The 09's are being released in phases but with each of the colors being available.
The problem is that the first phase of the releases the bikes were spoken for.
I'm not sure where you are or were in the request line up but there will be more of each of the colors, you just have to wait.
Sorry!

Richard,

I wondered the same thing, initially i was holding out for a Silver/Blue but then i began to question whether i would actually be able to get one, even with a deposit already down.

I ended up buying the Ruby/Maroon.....besides everyone knows that red is faster !!

When I was "looking" in September 2008, none of the dealers had any dates for Ruby Red/Maroon bike deliveries, which is the color I wanted. They did know at that time when the orage and blue bikes were scheduled for the next 60 days.

Then in early October, one dealer out of five that I checked with had a "estimated delivery date" on a Ruby Red bike.... early November - Soooo, I instantly gave the dealer a deposit. The bike arrived mid -November.

The above left me with the impression that the bikes are indeed built in color phases.

Hi, I've seen all three color combos at two dealers in northern Illinois where I live. One dealer currently has the orange and the ruby SEUC's in inventory now and another dealer had the silver/blue when I went there a couple months ago. Since they (orange and ruby) are in their inventory, they may be willing to deal. They were not willing to deal on future (silver/blue) deliveries.

I understand why the silver/blue would be more expensive  :2vrolijk_21:

From what I read from your post above I guess if you can't have a silver and blue a red will be the next best choice!
