And I hate botton heads too and won't use em. Way too easy to strip the head! I replace em all w/socket heads! ;)

Switch Housing hardware?
Windshield hardware?
Fairing hardware?
Center Console hardware?

These are all Torx.

Anywhere else?

Torx botton heads. I replaced most all of em all w/socket head allens! (Didn't bother w/the windshield as it doesn't need to come apart very often) AND I DON'T HAVE A FAIRING!!! ;)

What is a "button head bolt?"

Round top (think stove bolt) with hex or torx hole in it.

I hate em, Twolane likes em

We had a "discussion" about using a couple on Scot's Switchblade while we were changing out the exhaust

Due to a lack of any chrome socket heads in the correct size in Twolane's garage, he won the argument

That's right.  It was form over function.  And it was ONE bolt.  I don't care for them either (which is probably why it was in the parts bin rather than on the bike.  But, damn, that one bolt for that one little bracket was sooooooo exposed.  And so needed chrome.  You all should have seen the look on Spiderman's face when he sat down on the stool beside the bike to find the chrome button head back in that he'd already taken out and tossed in the direction of the trash can once :huepfenlol2: .

Scot, we screwed up man.  We didn't think of the perfect Christmas present to have sent to Brian.  A pretty bag of brand new shiny button head hardware; various sizes of course ::) .
