Hello too all from Chicago. For anyone familiar with the area, I'm from the Northwest suburbs (Mundelein). I've been wrenching on printing presses for 20 years and finally have the opportunity to try working on something I enjoy for a change. 1st Harley I've purchased new, 2008 SERK 105th Annie (#659). I got it on Mother's Day (wouldn't recommend this day for purchase, been paying for it dearly with the wife since), and put 6,000 miles on it before the weather became too uncooperative. Three extended trips last season, Evart, MI, Cincinatti, OH, and Tomahawk, WI with many more planned. I've been riding whatever I could afford for the last 22 years, waiting to get a Harley... can't say it was worth worth waiting for (the wait was almost too painful at times), but I've met some of the greatest people I've ever known and had some of the most memorable experiences since signing on the dotted line. Six good friends and fellow riders were with me that day, true family affair which if I can only hope to have the chance to be a part of something similiar for someone else, it meant alot.
I did a tremendous amount of research prior to getting my bike, and this web site was one of the greatest tools. I read thread, on top of thread, on top of thread...so I'm a "newbie", but in a way I've been around for quite awhile. I've posted a couple pictures to the members gallery and they're titled "Blkbty" (wifes favorite song.......long story).
Sorry about the long winded introduction, but in a thread I started in the General CVO Discussions, "Admiral" suggested I tell everyone about myself...and who's gonna argue with an Admiral!!
To ALL..Be Safe, Ride Hard, and I hope to meet you on the journey!!!
