Back in the mid to late 80's i happenned to be in the Pittsburg area on business, about 2 am i awoke to a whole lot of laughing and stuff, looking down into the courtyard from my 3rd floor balcony i saw at least 30-50 naked guys and gals swimming and just hanging out by the pool...i  don't think a one of them had ever seen a day of sunshine...not a tan line to be had, it was quite a site. Found out later that the Dead had a concert that night.

There's nothing quite like live Dead and I have 2 problems with the Dead nowadays...Jerry's not available to be PITB and I detest the political support that the living band members got involved with in this last POTUS election.

The last time I saw the Dead was in the late 80's. They were booked into the old Foxborough Stadium and I had a blast. It was a hot day and the roadies were spraying the crowd with firehoses from the stage area. I got down on the field and unscrewed a couple of faucets behind what would have been the Patriots bench area and sprayed the crowd as far as I could manage (about the 1st 12 rows). The vibe of the crowd was mellow beyond all belief. I don't recall seeing a single incident that bummed me out. The good feelings lasted a few days after the event was over and we were back home in Maine. Don't know how it could possibly be the same without Jerry though. His guitar playing was like a magic carpet and he'd let you climb on and soar around with him.
