27654-06 injector question
« on: January 06, 2009, 05:42:32 PM »

Injector 27654-06 is a 4.9 gram per second and designed to be used in 06 and later TB's.

Will it fit into an earlier TB?  With or without modifications

I know that the wiring is different.

09 injector

That's right.  BFH and a gas torch.  Installation will happen.

So the only way to make the 06 injector to fit into the 05TB is with Chip's hammer.

OK then

What is the part number for a 4.9 gps injector :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

For under $200 you can send you TB to Horsepower Inc and have it re-worked to whatever specs you want. Check out their website and give em a call. You've built your whole bike custom, why use a make-do, once size fits all TB and injectors ?

Big B I have a Horsepower Inc 55mmTB for an 05 and earlier.

Not thinking I purchased a set of 06 injectors because the heads I have are off an 06.

I have the intake flanges for both a 05 and 06...so not too hard to change over

The bike has an 02 wire harness, but it is not rocket science to change the terminals to fit an 06 injector.

So now I can either change the TB and ends or just get new 4.9 gps injectors.....which I need a part number for

Brian, check out these folks.  Several different injector options and more information than what is online if you call them.  At least that's been my experience.

Spidey,

The HP, Inc website says $250 to rework '08 & '09 TBs...

The important point is; how much power are you going to make?

The stock Weber Pico injector IWP043 or IWP162 (they're identical except for the PN and color of plastic band) will support 115HP if you tune it with MT, SERT, S-E SPT, or DL.

  The 27654-06 flows 32 lb-hr and the IWP043/IWP162 flows 34 lb/hr anyway.

If you need more injector the Pico IWP069 flows 48 lb-hr, and they'll pop right in. They should be available from Pierce Manifold in CA.

Spidey,

They were running some pretty good discount specials over the holidays. I'd be inclined to call them up and ask them if they'd rather have 90% of something or 100% of nothing.

Just my $0.02

Your post has me so confused, the only way out I can see for you is to toss it all in the trash and put a carburetor on the damn thing.

Is that you, the famous Doug Loufgren (spelling)? Well, if so welcome aboard.

On your recommendation on my old Jims 120, I went with the Kuraykyn 57 mm TB and the 6.63 injectors, brought HP120 & Tq 120 to HP 13 and TQ 134.

Have not spoke to you or Mike (last time I saw Mike or spoke with him was in Sturgis in 2006 at the Kuraykyn Booth) for a few years. I still see some of your posts on HTT.
