09 SERG A/C ?

The bike comes with a SE A/C, why do most people replace it the the Big Air? Is it looks? Reading I see the stock filter flows plenty enought air for the bike. Any flow charts showing we need more air?  Thanks Doc

If you're just doing Stage I or II mods, the SEAC is just fine. I'd switch the filter element to a K&N though Doc! ;)

Not all of the CVO's come w/the SE/AC (backplate). What you me be seeing other then what Howie stated above about the filer element is others changing them out to get the correct backplate (more airflow).

There are different backplates ?
Do you have pics or links of the two variations ?
And do you have a link to the K&N replacement-filter ? ( did not found on their page )

You need the Screamin Eagle backplate - which one depends on year and model.  Early model backplates will not work on 2008-9 bikes.

Not sure what you are riding.  There are many companies in the US that discount K&N but don't know if they will ship internationally. You can Google the part number from the K&N website for your motorcycle.

Original question said he had an SEAC. That's why I only suggested the K&N filter change. If you don't have a freeflowing A/C filter assembly, you should get that for sure! ;)

The 09 SERG comes with the oval SE back plate, It has a larger air element than the round SE back plate that is sold seperatly in the SE parts Catalog. Have not found a K&N to upgrade the stock SERG element.  Thanks Doc

I was asked by Brad to check with K&N when I'm at the V-Twin Expo next month, which I will. I'll report back then. Same issue came up last year with the '08's. By the time of the show, K&N had gotten it together. Hopefully will be the same for you '09 guys! ;)

As an FYI I contacted K&N product support a week or so ago. They do not have a replacement filter for the 2009 SERG yet.  They said they would notify me by email if and when they are available.
