I definately did not get the A crew on my assembly, but I am learning how to pay others to make it all right.  At this moment, I am extremely happy with my bike. I love it, and I love riding it. Now that the temperatures have turned to a comfortable level, it is extremely pleasureable to tear up the two lane roads where we live. It is a whole new area for us, and we are having a blast learning our way around. Seems like every time we go out we are putting on 300 - 400 miles going absolutely no where.

lvnlg I think it is way easier to complain about what is not right then to remember to post how good things are. I am so happy you are liking your bike as much as I am mine.

Oh, I'm happy.  My partner likes to point out to me that most of the problems I have had are due to after market add ons:  Rhinehart, Roadquest GPS, JM Corp Antenna for CB, 6 speed Tranny, and zepplin seat.  I didn't know there might be a problem with stablizer and need of Ride Stra8 system, I just thought it was wind and maybe a low tire pressure.

The 103 and the yellow color are a standout.  I love it.  I have never had a negative comment on the bike, most people won't make fun of it to your face (colorwise) but everyone who does say something to me like it. [smiley=biggthumpup.gif]

7000 miles so far and still smiling from ear to ear every time I ride it. Only a couple of minor glitches so far. Not enough complain about.  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

some have had more problems than others, but even with minor problems I've encountered, it's the best bike I've ever purchased.  And I'm happy, wouldn't trade it right now for anything I've seen out there and might shoot someone trying to take it away from me!  Har!   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] spyder

CD, you wrote something there that's worth hashing out a bit more for anyone thinking about the Ride Str8 or True Track.  If someone is like I was when I got the red bike they are new to Electra Glides.  I came to it from several years on a couple of different Road Kings, a Heritage before that, and untold others before that.  But this was my first bike with a fairing or lowers.

There is a turbulence that's just part of the bike that isn't a suspension issue.  Wind around the fairing.  It's just part of the beast.  After the first couple hundred miles I figured out what and when it was then was able to stop worrying about it.  But at first I thought the whole front of the bike was a piece of crap.

On mine it shows up worse in the rear quartering position behind a semi.  Like at a 45 degree angle off the back tandems or a bit farther back.  Seems to be caused not by the air in front of the bike (however turbulent it might be) but by the air stream that comes up on the inside of the fairing.

That air bounces back and forth between the rider and the dash and does give the bike a shake.  It's not a tank slapper by any means but I suppose it could feel surprisingly rough when you're not expecting it.

I can stick my arm out in the air stream and change it.  So it's easy enough to understand what's going on.  But while there is a potential rear steer issue that is certainly worth addressing; there are also things like this that are just part of the geometry of the bike and are always going to be there.

Excellent point Twolane...

I had a windsheild on my Fatboy, and since this is my first bagger (14 previous bikes) It took a while to get used to the air currents flowing around the fairing. It's just the design and a "quirk" that you learn to adapt to.

Had the scooter almost 3 1/2 months, just under 4500 miles and been very pleased. No cosmetic issues to deal with  - did find my first rock ship on the leading edge of the frot fender - made myself an adult beverage and had a moment of silence.

As far as the mechanicals go, been riding the crap out of it and having a blast. I was concerned when I got home and then found this site and started reading about all the issues. It reminded me of driving Corvettes back in the 70s: the paint sucked, the fiberglass cracked at the bonding seams, clock was always the first thing to quit working, they rattled and basically quality control didn't exist. But, if you really loved the car, you wouldn't drive anything else....

Would do it all over again.....

JimsSEEG,
You are not alone. I've had one or two minor issues, but nothing that would make me say that I'm sorry for purchasing my  [smiley=pumpkin.gif]. I enjoy the ride whenever I go out, and still get looks and "thumbs up" wherever I go. The power is awesome and I'm just beginning to "unleash the beast".
