This little experiment was in my garage with the door open.  I placed the sound meter in various places, at various levels, both handheld and stationary.

How can a sound test in the garage give you any reliable numbers, even with the door open.  I would think that any db numbers in that test would be much, much louder than actual number run outside.  Besides, I don't ride much in my garage. ;D

I just installed the 2 1/4 " baffles in my bike Mon. I can say they are not loud, I also did not drill the cats out, as I have been told be  a few tuners they find little differance in air flow. I have no decel pop, the bike seems to run cooler and smoother. I would compare the sound to the SE muffles of early years. Pre 05s  Doc

Doc1 has seen no gains by removing the cats as of yet, My bike is bone stock except I installed the Full Sac 2 1/4" baffels. the 09 SERG comes with a SE backing plate that I have modified to vent to ground, thats all. I will get it tuned when I can get some money together.  Doc

I installed the Fullsac 2.25 as well.  I posted a video on youtube that has the sound of mine, albeit with my Hawg Tunes stereo blaring in the background.  It may serve you well so you can compare the two.  There are also many theads here showing the performance difference w and w/o the cat.  I believe that all would say that there is a huge difference when removing the cat.  Here is the link.
