I put the Fullsac 2" baffles in my SE 4" Touring mufflers and used the BBQ Hi Temp paint I had sitting on my shelf to paint the ends... Worked great and only $5.00 per can...Only have a few hundred miles on them but so far everything is great....Need to buy another can when I clean the BBQ in the spring.. Should be available everywhere soon as summer gets here...  a whopping 4 degrees and 12" of snow in NWPA today.

Hey Skunk,
I am new to this forum and was reading and noticed you are from Franklin, Pa. I am from the Clarion area. Just bought a 09 SE Ultra Classic at Dubois HD. I think I am going to do the Fullsac inserts. I kind of like the factory cans.

Nice choice in bikes.  I picked mine up in November and it's a sweet ride.  I don't think Mick gets many of those in at DuBois HD, so you were probably lucky to get your hands on one.  Mick is a pretty good guy (he's the owner there, in case you don't know who I'm talking about).  I don't know if you have been in Clarion for a long time or not, but Mick used to work at the Roost in Clarion(that was a bar back when I went to grad school in Clarion back in the early 80's).  He's done pretty well for himself in DuBois.  He started with a small Harley/Yamaha dealership on a back road just outside of town.  I grew up in DuBois, so that's why I also know a little about the goings on there.  Anyway, enjoy the new ride and welcome to the forum.  Oh, one other thing...the Fullsac inserts sound real nice.  I put the 2.25" cores in my mufflers and they are loud enough that you'll feel good when you twist the throttle, but not loud enough to be a nuisance and you can still hear the stereo loud and clear.  They have a real nice tone to them.  They also make 1.75" and 2", but I haven't had the opportunity to hear them to make any meaningful comments, other than the smaller the diameter, the less sound you get out of them.

I have delt on many bikes with Mick. I remember the Roost in Clarion.
Thanks for the info on the Fullsacs. I think I am going to go that way. I can't wait till this snow melts and I can get a ride in on the Ultra.

Wow guys,, Wreckman,, 1 aba.....its like old home week... I am alumni of good ole CUP and even did a few classes in the MBA Program before I decided I needed to earn $$$ and go to work.... Bought my 07 Ultra at New Castle from Bomberger.. I had everything laid out on an excel spread sheet went in and said this is what I want and this is what I'll pay and boom... Bill came within $300.00 bucks of my number,, so we ordered the bike for March delivery just in time to go to Outer Banks Bike week in 2007... 1500 miles on that trip....

I really like the look of my SE 4" Touring mufflers and drilled the rivets out and put in a set of the 2" Fulsac baffles... I left the stock muffler packing in the right muffler and took it out of the left. You know the wire screen and fiberglass packing. With the packing in both mufflers bike sounded a little tinny... Took the packing out of the left which created more volume in left and bike rally sounds good and no loss of power,,,  I would recommend the Fullsac baffles as I have had good luck so far....Maybe we will get together for a spin sometime this summer.. I put 12,000 miles on last summer and 11,000 the summer before.

I rode the last 2 days...got about 250 miles in.  If the rain we are supposed to get stops early enough tomorrow, back on the road again.  The roads were wet here today from the snow melting, so the bike's a mess, but I guess it won't be the last time it gets a little dirty.  Might as well ride it another day or 2 while we are having this heat wave ( I jest!).  Then I can spend a few days detailing it again.

I just traded my 07 RK Classic on this bike.  I put about 13,500 miles on it last summer...many trips up to your neck of the woods.  I kind of wish I had purchased this bike at a time of the year that I could have taken off on a long trip immediately, but this way I'm able to get everything set up the way I like it over the winter.  I've only racked up 800 miles on my bike since I picked it up in November, so I figure I should easily hit 1000 miles by this week or next, get it serviced, tuned in on the dyno, and ready to rock.

The roads were dry here yesterday, with lots of salt dust flying around.  Today, we had a total meltdown and the roads were wet in intermittent spots.  Luckily, I didn't see anything resembling ice on the roads, but we've got some might nasty potholes to watch out for.  I'm more worried about those than anything right now.  I've gone around some that looked to me 8 - 12" deep and I don't even want to think about what happens when you hit one of those with a bike.

Hey Aba
Did you drill out the cat on your 09 ultra? I think I will do that when I get it home.

I got rid of the part you can get at with the muffler off.  I didn't cut my pipe apart to get to the rest.  I've thought about putting a set of pipes on from a 96" motor without the cats, but I'm just not convinced that it's going to make any more difference.  I'm still undecided whether I'll do it or not.
