« on: September 16, 2005, 07:45:29 PM »

Well it looks like i have my first problem with my 05 SEEG. I came home after going on a ride with a few friends, pull up in front of my garage do the hi beam low beam flip and No door was opening..... Its allways worked fine before.

I checked the remote in the garage and its got power and the lite is steady red.

Any clue????? anyone else have this just stop working on them???  [smiley=confused5.gif]

Open up the fairing, look for the transmitter, should be near the Cigar Lighter.

Though it's easier just to try reprogramming it first.

HDJamsTX,
I don't understand your dilemma. Whenever I get home the wife opens door and has cold frosty refreshment waiting on me [smiley=beerchug.gif].....

Now if you believe that I have some ocean front property in W.Va I'd like to sell you also.

HDJamsTx,
Don't get me wrong... I'm happily married (wife reminds me of that constantly  [smiley=7.gif]), but if "she" doesn't come w/ocean front property in W.Va then be very careul about saying "I Do". Just my .02 worth of advice.

Remember guys, what you're reprogramming isn't the output of the transmitter on the bike.  You're reprogramming which frequency is held in memory by the receiver in the house.

The transmitter output stays the same.  So if the receiver has to be reprogrammed to accept that frequency and you get this problem recurrently it's not a bike problem; it's a receiver problem.  Could be voltage spike in the house, could be somebody messing with you by holding down the button on the receiver long enough to clear the unit's memory, could be aliens, might be a glitchy receiver.

Yeah Folks, I have the same problem with my door opener, works sometimes. Told the dealer about it the same time I told them to order a third clutch cover due to the paint coming off. The dealer says he is going to the MoCo tech. folks for the answer. I'll let you know what they say.

Maybe a power failure at the house.......or did you have your bike in for service?
