The Harley website is finally displaying some new info on the GPS system that is another accessory to the new radio. On the website it is described as "now available" but there are no new part numbers in the P&A section yet. The system seems, quite frankly, wholly unremarkable compared to contemporary standards of even average automotive GPS systems. No mapping display at all. Turn indicators and trip calculations are apparently about it.
Nothing in the website blurb about the storage medium for its data. One would almost have to assume that the GPS kit will include some type of card reader for a data source. Otherwise the CD player would almost have to be able to read a DVD disk as well and use a DVD for source info. But that would mean no music to navigate by. Bummer [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

While you are roaming the great wide open, enjoy the peace of mind of knowing where you are and where you are going with the Advanced Audio GPS Navigation System. GPS, or Global Positioning System, is a network of satellites that continually send and receive signals to your Advanced Audio System to inform you not only about where you are and how to get to where you are going, but also about the location of the nearest points of interest, gas stations, restaurants, and rest areas.
If you miss a turn or exit, GPS will automatically reroute you to your destination. You will know the exact location of yourself and your vehicle if you need to call for assistance.
