Hardbag holder
« on: January 18, 2009, 10:53:09 PM »

Changed the bag hardware to the "crashbar" style and decided to fire up the mig and make a holder for the SERG bags (as they don't sit flat on the floor).  Using the old hardware, a little flat bar, and some allthread and I am good to go. ;D :)

That's pretty KEWL!  Bet you could make a buck or three sellin' those.  If I may make a suggestion, needs to be about three feet taller, so you don't have to bend over as much when washing them.  Nice job.   :2vrolijk_21:

I like yours more than the "Gaurdian" made by Metal Creations.  It appears more secure.

There is a guy near me who happens to be a huge mortorcycle scrap collector.  I may just have to get some parts and make a set for mine.

Thanks for sharing your idea. :2vrolijk_21:

Sweeet! I've been noodlin' on something like this for a long time... even for stock baggers. Don't like the aftermarket stands I've seen and I always hate sitting them down flat on anything... Can't even do that with the SERG bags.

Thanks for sharing!

I would think that there should be a few of the removed brackets around from the people who wanted to mount pouchs on the baggers.  BTW I have another set removed from the Streetglide HMMMM.  I like keeping things close to the floor-less distance to fail-less chit to break. ;D

Hey, what's wrong with UMC Guardian! My bags are sittin on it right now for the past 4 months! Very sturdy with the bags on. Not as much with them off. But you fold it up and put it away with no bags on. I'm happy with mine! I have their Service Bar too. They threw it in when I got my Guardian! Don't know why though! :2vrolijk_21:
