With enough rum in me I can make any patch of grass feel like a luxury hotel. :orange:

We (especially my wife) are too old to sleep on the ground.  We did the tent camping for a long long time.  My wife has had several back surgerys and a neck surgery... she gets a little grumpy if she sleeps on the ground now.

Thats a old bumper sticker...Sometimes I wake up grumpy, but today I let her sleep in.

Well, it'd be kinda the same story, over n over...Quick though...
Kinda like "got to the cabbage patch, drunk til I puked then slept in it"...Am I a biker?

Nowa days its check in and have a drink at the bar while they brings the bags up to the room..It is better.

And don't forget to schedule the massage while at the bar and to have the concierge get your reservations at the nearest Ruth's Chris/Mortons or similar.  10 years of road work will do that to a person. Gaaaa like flying coach...

One large consideration when choosing a trailer is weight. I pull a wags dog trailer, base weight 225lbs dry. Add the dogs, options, cooler, etc it's at about 330 lbs. I've noticed most of the camping trailers are 245 - 345 lbs dry, without options. While weight is not much of a factor on freeways and gentle grades it is significant when traveling backroads and passes with up to 21% grades. With a fully loaded bike and trailer ascending steep grades, up shifting can take place between 3500 and 4500 rpm due to the weight and slope causing a great loss in rpm (even when speed shifting) Not a big deal if you're accustom to it but alot of folks aren't. Decending these grades with sharp turns at moderate speeds has a tendency to "push" the rear of the bike out. If you break instead of gas at that moment, you're toast. We have only towed the trailer about 11000 miles the past 11 months but only about 7% of our riding is on the freeway. I realize many trailer pullers won't be doing riding like this, just adding my 2 cents.
I like the idea of ele. trailer brakes, does anyone here have them?
BTW...We always stay in motels, too old for anything else.

I have a friend that ordered a new tent trailer last year.  He spent the $$$ for every possible option - chrome bumpers with lights, chrome wheels, swivel hitch, .... and electric brakes (I think his final price for the trailer was about $6500 :zstupid:).  He really likes the electric brakes and he thinks the trailer brakes are worth the $$$ for safety.
