FBSE Touring Bike
« on: September 19, 2005, 07:42:54 PM »

Well this is what I ended up with for a FBSE touring bike.  I take the backrest off & change back to the SE seat (which has been reworked ) when not on the road.

Here is a list of what I have done.

Vance & Hines Big Shot Starged Pipes
SE Race Tunner
Dyno Tuned (98 hp & 102 torque)
SE 6 speed trans
Billet Alum. Forward Controls
Primary Chain Kit (tensonier)
Sloted Chrome & Black Wheels
FLSTF Seat With Back Rest
Flush Mounted Kit # 62818-06A
Windsheild

Hotrod why the different front fender? Did you scuff up the original one or just like the look of the solid black?

One day while I was out riding I ,how shall I say it, went into a turn too fast. I realized I could lay it down or drive it into a ditch.  Well the ditch won! Did not do too much damage but the fender did not make it. New one on order, should be here in about 12 weeks so they say.

All I can say is....NICE RIDE!  I think the wheels really make that bike stand out.  The seat choice is excellent.  I'm expecting an 06, but the P&A catalog only lists one seat for the 06...and I don't believe it's the one you show.  I think the larger rear fender on the 06 is limiting my options for a 2-up seat.  I bet that seat is more comfortable than the solo that it came with!

Anyway...very nice bike and thanks for the pics.

txfatboy:

page 252 06 catalog part# 51560-00a is the seat I have. Shows that it will fit the 06 model. Yes it is miles better than the stock seat. I had the stock seat re done & put a gel pack & 1 1/2 in extra foam in it. It still only last for about 60 miles before I have to stop.
