Congratulations! Great bike. Enjoy! Nice pictures too! I'd be interested to see what you do to the license plate mount. We had this discussion already last year, it's really awful here in Germany. I am going to look at my '09 SEUC today. It was delivered two days ago! Yippieh! I have already seen, that we can not use the 1-line license plates on E-Glides anymore, since the mount of the Tourpak has been changed, and it is in the way. There is only enough room for the U.S. size plate. Damn. No I have to get a huge 2-line license plate for the new bike.

We have the same issues in Canada(Varies by province) with the size of the plates--but not that huge!!!. I was able to find a billet frame for my plate but couldn't imagine the cost for a billet frame that size.

          Your    Silver Ghost looks great!     Thanks for posting the pictures.  I know you've been doing a lot of reading and will now begin your "custom journey."  Have fun!  Sorry about the plate issue.  RGanz' plate looks pretty good for the size.     Can you cut down / trim the German plate?     Just a thought.  Good Luck!

It's really unbelievable how huge the extra light for the license plate is. And the German bike has a reflector there, too. As if this couldn't have been done nicer by the Moco. They just slap the parts on.

My bike had the reflector above the license plate light also. I took it off. I was pissed about the taillight on the international models in the first place so the cheesy reflector had to go So did the ones on the side of the bags. I left the yellow ones on the forks.  I am thinking that if a cage driver doesn't see me coming with all the chrome not to mention the yellow bike --- the red side reflector is not helping me anyway.

No chance to cut the plate , now it`s time to order additional stuff for the bike , step by step .

It´s still stock , no mods yet done , just picked it up , this chrometrim at the front fender is stock ] , just saw that yours don`t have this , no it is not a light .
But the muffler cores are shameful , did you see this , just laughable .
And no rumble mirrors - grumble grumble .
Now the biggest part of the bucks have gone but a lot of them will follow i guess . Hmmmmmm !?!?!!!! What shells .

I'm pretty sure that chrome trim IS NOT STOCK. This the first/ only SERG I've seen with it. Anyone esle have it? Why would a dealer add it?

Yes i saw at the other pics : no SERG have this , but mine was so when i picked it up ( maybe the fender is damaged and they put this trim on to hide it ?? ) I don`t know.

When I was stationed in Germany, I checked out many dealers and found ALL the "clean" fender bikes (Road King Custom & Street Glide) had those little fender trim pieces installed...must be some funky German law...not sure if the rest of the EU requires it

Also, they all come with those more restrictive mufflers...easy fix but big brother over there will pull you over and give you the once over in a heartbeat if they suspect your bike is modified.  

The touring Screamin' Eagle bikes all came with "Standard" mirrors...I told the dealer that someone must have "swapped" down the line but it seems All the German bikes get this treatment.  I don't understand it because this year, the Rumble Mirrors are the same size as standard ones

The plate CAN be trimmed down some...I did mine...It was the US Forces Plate and somewhat (okay, allot) smaller but you can trim quite a bit off as long as you don't get into the numbers or screw up the EU decal in the upper left.  After I trimmed mine down, I painted the edge Flat Black and it was pretty much stock-looking...only much smaller!

I believe that piece is stock on the "international" models.
