« on: September 21, 2005, 10:10:59 PM »

OK Harley Davidson claims 96 lbs of torque at 4000 rpms on a stock CVO fatboy.but they don't mention a thing about hp? ANyone know what the bike is putting out fully stock?

OK the other strange an [smiley=nixweiss.gif]d twisted part of this is the SE Ultra puts out 100 lbs of torque at 4000 rpms............ok is the bike geared a tad lower to compensate for the added weight?? I was under the impression that both these bikes had the same exact set up as far as drivetrain is concerened. am i WRONG AND IF i AM NOT WHICH ONE IS THE TRUTH AND WHICH ONE IS A LIE??

Scott, the Fat Boy has a counterbalanced motor to quell the vibes in the solid mounted frame.  The Ultra does not have the balancers and is rubber mounted to reduce vibration.  The counterbalancers rob a few HP/TQ.

Then again, at the crank, which is where they're measuring those 96 - 100 torque figures, probably around 90 or so.
