When did we get auto spell check?

Maybe it's me, but tonight I used my Mozilla Firefox to browse and while typing on another thread here, the misspelled word had an underscore of red dotted lines; just like Word.

I know we've had spell check you have to open, but never while I'm typing.

So is this new?  Or am I just seeing this with Mozilla?

Safari has a spellchecker like that described in Firefox.

the human brain is the perfect  spell checker, as long as the first and last letter are in the correct place all the other letters in every word can be written in any mixed up order u wish, the human brain will decipher and u can read the sentance.

So it mst be specal Moozila phechur only.

I have this too. You can add a spell checker to IE, iespell (www.iespell.com), and it will work on all forms, hence also on the text entry fields of this site. I guess your Mozilla has this as an add on (or a similar one) as well. I like it.
