I've got just under 14k on my 03SERK.  Previous owner replaced the stock HD tire with a Metzler.  Same width as stock tire.

I'm riding 40% OTR and the rest local.  I need to replace both F&R before my next long ride to NYC (about 1800miles RT).  

I'd like to hear opinions on tires for wear, ride, performance, etc.

Thanks, WD.  I'm just wondering if there is ANOTHER tire out there that others have used other than the stock HD tire or Metzler?

Profile difference?  Width?  

For my other bikes, I always used HD tires.  Just curious before I make a decision.

Is the cop tire really that much different? I'm told it is, I'm sure its not much of a ride though! Can you buy them?

I'm a fan of the Metzelers,  just for grins I tried the new Dunlop GT 502 150/80 Screamin Eagle this time , looks and rides similar to the Metzeler , Only have about 1500 on it so I'm not sure of the long term ware yet , so far so good.
