This is the post for fitting the shield to the gasket. Rode 400 miles with the WV today and it worked excellent. the 12 inch would probably be perfect but I like the 10 inch as a compromise over looks.  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=38737.0  :drink:

CB 14'

received tuesday (special thanxs to dartman  :apple:, mounted yesterday, drive today.
Real improvment with buffeting, better look (apologize for using the standard-rg-windshield),
nice but no disturbing wind around the helmet, gone up to 100miles on the highway.

Bandit – you’re “grey ghost” is looking sweet; tell me are those the mirrors that came with your bike?

I went for a 4K ride in July.
Before going I had told the wife about the C. Bailey a couple of months before the trip. She decided we would get the CB 14" and CB 9" in that light blue tint color. With a PM to Doc for a question I wanted answered we ordered the two shields 1 week before the trip. Joe at CB said he would talk to the production manager and see if they could be made. Joe called back and said no problem. Then we were out eating and Joe called  and said they were out of the stock they usually used but had it in a thicker piece. We received the shields 7 days later the night before we left. They are 3/16ths thick, pretty thick but they fit fine and 4K later they are home again. The shields did help with the ride but both shields should have been about an inch taller.Other than that the shields were fine and Joe got them to us quick.

Those come on the "international" model.  Note the tail light in reply #244.   :(

I knew about the tail light but this is the first time I’ve noticed the mirrors.  I think the moco is doing our international members a disservice.   :(

Yes!  They do not even get the SE mufflers.  They do get a chrome tip on the front fender....   ???

for vtyanqui:

the mirrors are stock in europe/switzerland, what i added
were the chrome-spacers, because I wanted more space
between handle-bar and mirror. There will be someone,
who will tell me it doesn't look good and cool, but sometimes
you have to set priority to handling, comfort and safety.

Bandit – I wasn't being critical of your SERG.  I fully agree there are times we need to place safety before cosmetics; my comment was solely intended to convey my feelings that the moco didn't give the export model the same aesthetics we receive.
