(Could someone post a picture from the rider seat of the 14". I want to compare it with the pictures I took.)

UFO, Here is my 14 in, Its fairly Crude along the mounting edge, and the Left Curvature as can be plainly seen in the picture is about 3/4 of an in higher then the Right side, let me know how you make out with yours.

Yes, I think it would get bothersome, I have not received a response from CB yet, im anxious to see what they do for UFO his had a similar flaw. I got one of the first ones its a little crude, From Highways post it appears they have eliminated the glitches.

Yes it did arrive and yes it's going back.  Same problem, difference in the height from left to right,  extremely noticeable.  Called Joe, he didn't seem to happy but agreed to send a call tag.  He swears that all shields with this problem were gotten rid of.  We'll wait and see.

I was told that if there was a problem with mine that it was the only one, that none of them shipped unless they
were within very close specs, they wanted it returned so they could evaluate it, I bit my tongue and did not disclose that I knew of  at least 5 other shields shipped with identical defects.

I just checked mine and...yep, it's off as well.  I measured from the bottom of the temp gauge bezel to the middle of the concave portion of the left "dip" and it measures 10.5" and on the right side it measures 10".  To me, that is too much.  I'll take some pics tomorrow out in sunlight...and call CB for a return tag....DANG, it performed so well too!

I received my CB Dark 14 in Wisconsin last week Thursday. The profile is exact. both sides are identical. It could not be more perfect! I am a fabricator and very fussy. Maybe others can establish a production date that may be a factor with the uneveness. I would guess what ever the problem it is already solved and any one with a problem will be taken care of. This is a Kick a$$ shield an I could not be happier!  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Be sure to measure from the front inside edge of the storage doors to each wave of the shield to get an accurate measurement.  :2vrolijk_21:

Okay Highwaystar...as you wish.  I first applied some masking tape down on the edge and then marked in increments of one inch so I would measure at the same point up the side of the shield...in this case the 8" mark which seemed about half way in or center of the "dip".

The right side measures 11.5" from the inboard/forward corner of the clove box opening.  The left side measures 12" at the 8" mark

And again the left side...not good...I'm thinking that some of those bad shields made it out the door without our guy aware of it :confused5:
