You are correct in that I have an 08 SEUC and I want the rear to look like the 09 Road Glide.  Thanks to everyone who replied.  Next step is to talk with the dealership and see what they say.

Well I just got through talking with the dealership.  I have ordered the parts for the detach kit so that will be a done deal once the weather turns nice so I can the bike there.

As far as the bag extensions and fender skirt like the 09 Road Glide that's not going to work.  I should have figured that because the 09 has the different frame and larger rear tire which also has a larger rear fender so it will not mate up with my 08.  I would think it should for anyone who has an 09 Ultra Classic though.  I have some different sites like the one posted earlier in this thread that would work.  I just have to decide whether I want to do it or not.  I need to do some research before I do.

Hey Fed,

Did you ever do anything with your rear fender?

I love my '08 and imagine keeping it for quite sometime.  I really like the look of the rear fender on the '09 RG's and now '10 & '11 SG's with the only lights being in the filler strips.

Just thought I would check to see if you managed to get the look your were after.

If so, please post pics and list what parts you used.

Thanks!

I know you guys are talking about the RG extension with the lites in it, but what would you do with the taillite on the fender?
I did the SG extension with the tri bar lite so that I did not have to change anything else, Also used the 3m tape to install instead of drilling and it has worked well for 10k miles. I know thay make the SG extenson for the earlier bikes(I had one on another bike) that you can put a tribar light in...
Also used HD bag extensions on both the bikes...
