Just thought that I'd post a picture of my ride and Bushtec trailer.

Bushtec trailer

Laker,

Actually the trailer started off in the 95th anniversary colors that Bushtec painted.  This was painted by a guy in LaCrosse, WI called Doug Wozney.  http://www.dougz.com.

Ok, question???

Why do I remember reading somewhere in owners manual that we SHOULD not pull a trailer with SEEG's, but have seen several trailers hooked to SEEG's on this site? Can someone educate me as to why the MoCo says don't tow a trailer and I see several members towing trailers. Are there any modifications that have to be done before pulling a trailer (other then hooking a hitch to bike)? Thanks in advance for "Pulling A Trailer w/SEEG 101".

Just guessing, but I am sure it has to do with the lowered suspension.

That would be my assumption also, but it appears they are being towed. So I guess feedback is needed from those that do pull/tow a trailer.

1. Are you doing any modifications other then adding a hitch?

2. How is the bike handling pulling trailer?

3. Any suggestions on which trailer(s) handle better then others?

I have not seen any Harley that was recommended to pull a trailer. I think that is Harley's standard disclaimer. This photo has been here before but was hacked. We took this trailer on a 2000 mile trip to North Carolina. The 103 didn't even know the thing was behind us. We had it loaded big time. It handled the mountains quite well. I like the way it leans with the bike and basically follows in the same track.

Heck...I pulled this trailer from '98 till this year with my old EVO engine.  Pulled it to Sturgis almost every year.  It is 21 cf and carries up to 300 lbs.  You never know it is back there.  Except when you go to pass then you could tell with the EVO.  I just completed an 8 state, 8 day trip of 2000+ miles and the 103 never even balked (even when passing).  I got about 32 mpg pulling the trailer.  I also used the Garmin Guest GPS for the trip that I posted in one of the other forums.  As far as the bike being lowered the only problem I have with that is dragging the kickstand and that happens even without the trailer.
