The super sert is the updated sert  ;D  from harley(screamin eagle race tuner) s e r t.It is a program software that uses the stock ecm. There is no adding another computer or brain  :D to add to the stock ecm(like a power commander)I went this way because of

1  there is mo room in these 09 cuse4  ???
2  Wanted to try something differant  (right or wrong I think I did great) :huepfenjump3:
3  Price  my dealer gave me a good deal/after factoring this in it was competitive of the other aftermarket ones :huepfenjump3: :bananarock:
4  the original sert,I new alot and I mean alot of people like them for there adjustably and were happy with them
5  That is why I went with the super sert ;D :bananarock: :bananarock:

you can also like many others look at the data through your laptop    :2vrolijk_21:

hope this helps alittle if I can help more let me know

The Super Sert is not an updated SERT the TTS MasterTune is the updated SERT made by Steve Cole.   He was the original developer of the SERT.  The SuperSert is a new product with a new interface that does most of the same functionality the Mastertune does.

SERT and SESPT are 2 different products made by 2 different companies. WE produced and own the SERT product. We private labeled that to HD from 2002 - Dec. 2007. In the beginiing part of 2008 Kent Moore started to make the SESPT for HD but I'm not sure when they started to ship those out. The interface box of the SERT has no buttons on it while the SESPT does so you can tell them apart by that when looking at it. If you have a SESPT I cannot help you out.

Just spoke with my HD service manager about the open air filter on the SERG. He mentioned that you would not want to be riding in the rain with it sucking moisture down into the cylinders. Seems to make sense. I'd go with the set up like I had on my 05 SEEG where the SE AC is open on the back by the intake, but covered by the chrome portion of the original AC cover.

Did they give you the S/E rain cover w/ the filter set up Planenut?  We talked about it here a little.

anything had to be better than the ones that came on the cuse4,at least this one is completely open all the way around except the top and bottom about 2"on top and the bottom.I know now at least it doesn't sound like its starving and running under water.By the seat of the paints feel it seamed looser and more responsiveness. As soon as the weather breaks it will be going on the dyno for a tune with the mods that Ive done.Ive been happier with it, also looks much cleaner.

Jon,

It looks great. I also have an 09 CUSE4 and would like to improve the look. Do you know if this filter is made by K&N or do the cleaning instructions tell you to oil it, or just wash it? I checked the K&N web site and they don't sell a replacement for the 09 cvo SERG, but that doesn't mean they didn't make it. I own an 09 cvo springer (FXSTSSE3) with a heavy breather made by K&N that gets oiled, yet on their web site they say they do not offer a replacement filter for that bike. But at the same time, they offer a replacement oiled filter for the CUSE4 for $80. Strange.

My new air cleaner ;D for my cuse4 is the one from the road glide. Was done before xmas was finally able to take a foto.We ordered it piece by piece back then  ???,now H-d now offers it as a complete kit in the winter catalog >:( owe well so much for that.At least now it doesn't sound like its running under water ;)

Jon

Jon,

I just found HD part no. 29490-09 on the Harley web site.  http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448773008&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302320149&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302320149&bmUID=1234830711026&bmLocale=en_US.

I just called my dealer and had him cross refrence the individual part numbers for kit 29490-09 versus CVO Road Glide air cleaner indiividual parts. He told me all part numbers are the same except the insert on the cover and the back plate. The CVO backplate is granite to match the engine. The 29490-09 backplate is painted black. The granite back plate is an $80 item. My dealer told me the airisol high temp granite paint is part no. 98606CTN and it's $19.60 per can. Ordering all the CVO parts individually cost $457 list versus $230 for the kit. I just ordered the kit and the dealer said it's back ordered until March 1, 2009. I have the 09 CUSE4 so I'll use that 3D chrome "110 Screamin Eagle" insert instead of the one that comes with the kit.

If I had a choice, I'd jump all over the black 110 screamin Eagle insert on the CVO Road Glide but unless you have a vin specific CVO RG you can't get it. Look how sharp that looks and brings your eyes right to the air cleaner cover. Click on "See the Bike" then on the "Gallery" and take a close up look at that filter cover insert: http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/2009_Motorcycles/2009_Motorcycles.jsp?locale=en_US&#/model/fltrse

yes I do have the rain cover, when we did this in the fall my parts person who I deal with was on the ball :2vrolijk_21:.With Those lowers on that will help with the rain to a piont.I can tell you that the rain cover is cool checked it out in the sink with running water    :bananarock: :bananarock:

as for air flow anything has to be better than the stock cuse4.In theory the road glide being open should be less restricted and better airflow. As per K&n filter as of last night they had no update for a element for the 09 cvo road glide

As per power I will keep every one up to date.My headpipe was sent to fullsac

so with the mods of
ft pipe cord
monster ovals
super sert
aircleaner

Dyno time is the 1st week of march weather permitting

I'm hoping for good #'s with out engine work

looking for mid 90's hp    :bananarock:
low to mid 110's tq         :bananarock:

I will let you guys know

No they don't.  I've checked all 4 dealers around me.  I did get one of the dealers to agree to use one of the SERG vins to order me that insert if mine doesn't fit.  The one that comes with the kit is pretty plain.

Does anyone know if this element is an equivalent to the high flow air fiter that comes in the stage 1 kit... 29260-08?  I just dyno-tuned to that one and I'm wondering if by adding this I'm taking any airflow away or needing another dyno tune.
