That my very mid-western very pasty dear friend is a Jamaican meat pie, spicy and hot kinda like well you know.

Somehow I'd missed that delicacy.  Now I shall make it my life's endeavor to partake.  Then, probably, to eliminate waste.  Have a feeling that anything with a name like "meat pie" must lead to that evetuality.

"local ethnic market"   Joplin freaking MO.  The closest thing to an ethnic market here is the tack shack on main street or the two foot of shelf space at Wally World given over to to kfelte fish and kosher hot dogs.  :huepfenlol2:

never looked here - part of it is the "experience" of getting them from someone you know entered the country illegally and is in imminent fear of deportation?
