Hey Screamin,

Thank you for pointing that out! I did leave an important detail out!  I had the LED spoiler added to the CTP.  Sorry for not being as descriptive as I should have in the beginning!!  I've also added pics.  I'm having trouble finding a similar male connector...

I'll be going through the same this week. Got the same t. p. and the spoiler as well. Looks like the wires should reach into that crammed battery compartment - hmm. I'll be sure to let you know if I find the plug first. Hopefully someone else will jump in here and help us both out.

BTW - 2 other things

1) How does your backrest fit? I'm less than pleased that it doesn't hug the t. p. a little better. Gonna remove the tape on top and go w/ it but seems it ought to be better.

2) Did you notice on the parts list for the t. p. that there are two nameplates listed? The one you and I both have and a "screamin eagle" one? Seems like that would have been a good thing to know up front.

1) Mine seems to fit fairly tight...but a pic would do you better at showing that.  I, too, haven't removed tape until install.

2) Really?!  No, I did not.  I do wish they would have caught that option for me. Well, I hope others on here become educated from this post...

You will find the female connector under the seat crammed forward of the battery.  It will have a rubber plug in the end.  You'll notice that I have the O/B bike, since you have the inferior (slower) silver bike, it may not be included on yours ;D

The spoiler kits have come that way (with the connector up under the seat) too.  I don't want to have to pull the seat everytime the quick detach tour pak goes on and off.  Defeats the "quick" part.  So I always put a deutsch connector in line below the tour pak.  Make it all quick detach at the back end without having to screw with the seat.

If you do add a connector hanging below the tour pak there's one other handy thing you can do with it.  Most of the time the feed to the tour pak only needs three wires (ground, run, brake).  Find your B+ connector and run from it to the fourth hole in the deutsch connector you're adding.  Then you'll have unswitched power inside the tour pak along with the lights all in one simple plug.  Can use it for phone charger or whatever else might float your boat.

i used the supplied deutsch  connector, got a y(standard part) and hooked it up to the left rear light. :2vrolijk_21:

seems to be more than one way.

now to address the red light of the spoiler vs our stock amber.

The plug that you are dealing with does not have the correct wiring.  I installed the light kit for my TP Wing luggage rack.  The correct plug according to the wiring schematics is in the left side cover in the trailing edge.  It is tie-tied down.  I ended up having to splice in the wiring harness to it.
