Just got a call from KW.  They received my returned shield this morning.  They checked it out and said it was totally wrong and would never fit.  Now they're concerned how many others were shipped out like this.  If you have this fit problem, call Luanan and get a UPS call tag for return shipping.  It cost me 30 to return it but she said she would also credit me for that too.  She didn't bug me about sending out another one so I didn't have to tell her I already orders the Cee Bailey.

Most of the posts I'm reading seem to regard Cee Bailey windshields the best and based on owner reviews I plan to order one.  The only question I have is, why are most people opting for the "dark" shield?

Thanks,

Rob

Like HighJagger said, because it looks good.

In truth, it is not dark enough to be problematic even at night, though it is not DOT compliant. Besides, if you get the proper height windshield, you are looking over it, not through it.

Thanks guys.  I think the dark look best to but...

RickC - I think you hit the nail on the head.  I'm concerned that I'll get either too short or too high a shield and be stuck trying to look through a dark shield at night or be blown to bits because it's too short.  So I thought I'd order a light gray shield and be on the safe side. I'm 5'10" with a 29" inseam and the literature from CB suggests I order a 13" shield.  Most of the posts I'm reading, however, have riders ordering 14" shields; certainly not all other riders are between 5'11" and 6'1".  Any advice you can provide will be appreciated.

Cheers,

Rob

All you all,
Just finished completing my order and am a very happy camper.  My total bill for the 13" Dark out the door came to a meager $200 flat.  During my initial contact I had asked Joe if there were any chance I could have the 20% discount and if my invoice and the quote he gave me over the phone are the same I received it.  Thanks all for your inputs which certainly made my choice of windshield and cash outlay sooooo-o very easy and acceptable.

Cheers,

Rob

I have had both the 14" dark tint and the 15" lt. tint and could see over them both, I liked the 14" dark better for looks and really seen little differance in wind between the 2 shields, At 6.1" and have a hunch back while riding with stock seat and riders back rest.   Doc

I`ll get the signature solo seat and it will push me up 1" , then the 15" with my 6.1 feet will be ok , i guess and hope . ( dark tinted is a must be )

I installed a 12" on my SERG and aside from the wind in my face (I ride a motorcycle) what is the problem with the fit?
I purchased the stock RG rubber seal and aside from being a little short, it fit okay.  Maybe I should take it off and ship it back but I don't know why. Help me.
