I Couldn't help myself
« on: February 15, 2009, 11:51:58 AM »

My dealer got my bike in last Friday and I went down there on Saturday.  It won't get delivered for a couple of weeks, can't wait.

The duplicate bike in the background is for a chap called Dave who was there at the same time, two twilight blue and silver in Cumbria!!

Congrats to both of you on your new rides.  :2vrolijk_21:  Jon, why do you have to wait a couple of weeks for delivery though?  It looks like it's been prepped and you should be able to drive it out the door now.   ;)

I'm waiting until March 1st when the new reg plates come out in the UK, preserves the bikes value a bit.

Ah, good call, I remember that from when I was stationed in England.  They change the letter on the plate every year, so you can tell just by looking at the plate what year you bought/registered the vehicle...smart move, you'll have the 09 letter instead of the 08.   :2vrolijk_21:

Merci Jacque!

I've just finished an intensive French course - 10 days, 12 hours per day - I'm knackered - can just about count in French now.

Beautiful bike! Those UK right-had drive Harley's look almost identical the left-hand drives we ride over here.

Not that close really, Cumbria is in the far north of England, Birmingham/Wolverhampton in the middle - about 250 miles?
