I've got over 33,000miles on mine with no problems. That said, I did inquire from my head Tech at the Dealership if they should be checked as I'd heard that with 30K miles some were coming apart. He said 'where'd you hear that?' and for me not to worry that they would go much farther than that. The MoCo doesn't seem to have any concern, so I wonder who's right? Wish we had a inside hook up to someone at the MoCo that could give us the straight skinny on this issue. Is it a isolated failure early on or something that happens with some regularity that would warrent the expense of checking often or changing to the gear drive?
