« on: February 18, 2009, 06:49:48 PM »

Does anybody know where I can get extensions for the 2009 CVO, so I can move my floorboards out 3/4 in, I see they have ones for 2008, should I just wait

Thanks for any input

Hope you get a good answer here. The 08s and prior do not work on the '09s. Just found that out this afternoon. Swap meet bargain turns out not to be.

James Soucy, a/k/a "Soos", (hundred-dolla-cycle-parts@comcast.net) comes highly recommended on another popular HD forum.

He has floorboard extenders for both rider and passenger floorboards for all years, including 2009 touring models. More information is available here. I have contacted him about joining CVOHarley.com and providing a 10% discount to the members, but I have not heard back from him yet.

I had his kits on my 2007 FLTR. Easy Install. Worked as advertised. Never had a moments trouble out of them. Soos is old school, salt-of-the-earth and non-nonsense. He's a great guy to deal with.

The last time someone called me James, it was the IRS.

I got the chrome extentions from harleygoodies (http://www.harleygoodies.com/hdf). Installed them in 30 minutes and they look great. Excellent, friendly service and great value too.

Same here....what a difference the extra room makes.

Can I ask how come earlier ones don't fit?   :nixweiss:   I'm guessing it's the left hand side one that's the problem?

Got mine at Harley Goodies also.  Great people to do business with.  Easy Installation, and very comfortable now.
Here are a few pic's of the front floorboards with the relocators installed and the passenger flooboards with the relocators installed also.  Gotta keep that passenger comfortable also.  You know the Ole saying,  "If mama ain't happy,  ain't nobody happy".

Jim

By "earlier", I am guessing that you mean pre '09 extension kits? The MoCo changed the frame design starting with the '09 models and they redesigned the floorboard mounting brackets.
