Those who were here last year remember seeing Andy's (AK) daughter on the Fight Girls series on the Oxygen Network.  She took the title in Thailand when she knocked that girl out........ 

She's now been accepted for the Ultimate Women's Combat series that's about to start filming.  This series will take us through all the fights and the fighters lives as they train and live together.  I think it'll be somewhat like The Ultimate Fighter only for women.  You can see the promo here........       ...........       

Of course we wish her the best of luck and hope that all of you will become fans of this series and show your support for her!

Mrs. R---Honestly i,m more worried for her husband he,s 25-50% better than the men he fights but 1 mistake and he can get hurt . For family members the hurt goes on. the fans move on....as far as Kerry goes I think she,s 125% better than anyone she faces at this point so that makes it a little better for us. Not to say she won,t lose but i think her defence will keep her from getting hurt BAD.. IT,s a great sport where you put it on the line, no bail -outs, golden-parishuts., i didn,t no defence..,you walk in for what ever come  ....We need more of that ...AK

I understand what you're saying. Having kids of my own I can relate you always worry (have concern) about them. But if they are prepared mentally and physically for the task they have chosen then you have to trust in their abilities. I've seen her train and she's put in the time, effort and is prepared. I've been fortunate to see her and Brandon both train and it's unbelievable the power they both have. Matter of fact it's damn scary. I don't think I've seen horses kick harder then them.

I've had the good fortune of not only watching the two of them work out but also to see Kerry fight, live, in Vegas.  When she's in the ring, you can see the concern on both Andy and Sherrie's face (what parent wouldn't be?) as their pummeling away. 

But Kerry has never let them down, she always takes good care of herself.

I think women's MMA is long past due.  Look at all the women in the promo video.......all very attractive women in very good shape who obviously take their sport very serious.  Yet when you see them fighting, they fight with the same spirit and enthusiasm as the men do.  It's obvious that they take their sport very serious.  Personally, I hope that women's MMA becomes as main stream as the UFC.

I got an email from Kerry earlier today.  She's training hard for this series.  The filming has been moved back a little due to the unexpected interest from potential sponsors, etc. but she's feels she's ready when they are.  Kick butt Kerry!

Haven't seen a whole lot of the MMA for women, but looks like that is about to change  Needless to say, that is a good thing as I'm a huge fan of the UFC ! Good luck Kerry, Joanne and will be routing for ya...TG Joanne likes MMA too. Muddy

Congrats to the proud papa.  Andy, enjoy her success.  Watching them do well in whatever they enjoy has to be a joy.  Everyone will pray some to keep her safe.  Can't wait to watch the tube and see her doing well.
