Twolane I just got off the phone with Brian. He is hard at getting some work done on his trailer and truck as we type.

From the conversations this past weekend I think the bike has a way to to go before being finished. This last weekend was a hurdle and I think if we had the rest of the parts and one more weekend it could be finished. The bike is SWEEEEEET looking in person. I was really surprised when I saw it in person. I can't wait till it is finished and it doesn't even belong to me.

Dawg,

What a great post. I love watching bikes coming together on this site. I learn so much watching those that know!
Keep it coming.

I don't know about house calls (him coming to us), but I'm sure going to make a trip to the "Garage Mahaul"  when weather breaks. My install (hinges) going to be really quick so after we can ride, eat, and drink. Wooo Hooo!!!! We may even have time for some detailing before we get to full (food & drinks). :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Brian, how much more non-drivetrain work isn't done or parts aren't home yet?  Is Crash still quite a distance from being completed or does the engine assembly get you on the home stretch now?

The build calls for a .5" longer mainshaft in the tranny. I had built the trannie over a year ago with intentions of using the black cases and not changing anything. The first painter I took the bike to got so much overspray on the motor that I could not get it off without severely damaging the poweder coat. And we all know how good at that I am :2vrolijk_21:

We didn't have the trans door puller, so the gear set is installed with a black door. No one noticed that in one of the pictures :nixweiss: When your door puller gets here I will change it out for the Chrome powder coated one.

Now I just need to get some time,  probably after Daytona, to finish her up. Shouldn't take more than 2 days of steady work. I have all the parts except a set of V Rod injectors [stock V Rod]

Was hoping that box would've arrived Friday.  Got one of those wonderful UPS "exception" notices though so it apparently lost a day or two on the way.  If the tranny tools aren't there today or tomorrow let me know and I'll start yanking UPS's chain a bit more.
