Well took the plunge and installed my new j&m Hrus-09gtm-b speakers last night it took about 1 hr from start to finish . Gotta say that  it was the best 130.00 dollars i ever spent easy to install and the sound is much clearer and louder without distortion.

Did you have to remove the fairing for installing the J&M speakers ?

Installed the J&M HRUS-09GTM-C speakers today.   Best return on investment I've ever had from any upgrade.  Think I'll take another ride...still can't believe the sound I'm getting from $130 speakers.

I have the Hawg Wired plug and play system. The products are fantastic and the sound is amazing. The guys there offer great service too. I'm very happy I have their system in my bike. Pricey but worth every penny.

I have a set of Hawg-Wired speakers from my 2005 Screamin Eagle Electra Glide, and the speakers worked AWESOME.  I took them off, and was getting ready to put them in my new 2009 Screamin Eagle Road Glide until I spoke to Hawg-Wired.  The guys at Hawg-Wired have always been super honest when purchasing from them.  They told me that the old stereo system that was on the 05' Screamin Eagle Electra Glides were a High Output stereo, and that I did not need an amp to run the Hawg-Wired speakers.  When I told them that I was going to put those same speakers in my 09' Screamin Eagle Road Glide, they told me that the Harmon Kardon stereo is only half the watts that the old pre Harmon Kardon stereo put out, because the Harmon Kardon is not a high output standard.  He said that the stock Harmon Kardon stereo would not have enough power to push the Hawg-Wired speakers.  By putting the Hawg-Wired in, that I would only be able to get half the volume out of them with the stock stereo.  I was always under the impression that the Harmon Kardon was a lot better than the old stereo, but maybe not.

The Harmon Kardon is a better unit than the old radio, the problem is the old unit on the SEEG was a high output system, Harley chose to give us the standard Harmon Kardon on our SERG's without a higher output built in amp.
Radio amps are like cars/bikes/boats, there is NO substitute for power. Buy the 150 Amp from HawgWired and you will be amazed. I also kept the cx504's from my SEEG, put them in my SERG with the 150 Hawgwired and EVERY time I ride it it amazes me that I didn't buy the amp for the old bike, It is GREAT, clear volume to waste at 80 mph.
