Can anyone tell me if the 2008 SEUC hard bags will fit on 2008 SERK? I want the matching color Copper and Black set. I was told by a dealer today that I could order them. I have read many times here on the forum that Harley will not let you order them, any truth to that?  My dealer here in Wichita, KS says otherwise.

hard bags are hard bags, so they should fit. might need to adjust the brackets a little.

Most CVO parts are ordered using your VIN number.  He will have to use a VIN from a 2008 SEUC to order the bags.  All in all it might be cheaper to buy a good set of used bags and have a good painter match them for you.  Just a suggestion.

Yes This is what I have been reading over and over here on this forum. My bike goes into the shop this Sat for Top/End work and I will try to order them then. I guess if this dosn't work I will have a set painted as you suggested.

Had a buddy that went through three dealers trying to get these bags.  All said that they could get them, and all struck out.  He even had a VIN number from a copper/black SEUC.  No dice.  Good luck...let us know if you do indeed get them.  Some on here have bought a set of plain bags and had them painted to match.  He did just that and they didn't match.  He is now trying to get the repainted by another painter.  I can tell you that he is very frustrated too.

This doesn't sound like this is going to be fun! I heard here on the forum, a company (Paint by Gene) that is supossed to be very good at it. I will let you all know what I find out here in Wichita, KS

Just got off the phone with Paint by Gene, and they say they have painted several of these. I will probably find a set of used bags and send it to them.

If you can find a good painter in your area, they can probably do it. They will have to make a couple of test panels but it can be done.

By doing it locally, you have a lot of control and imput on the design.





Although, from everything I've seen posted, Gene does a great job too! Good luck with your choice!
