dealer picked up bike for the ENHANCEMENT
« on: February 24, 2009, 01:41:31 PM »

First I would like to say thanks to Bowling Green HD for driving 50 miles to pick up my bike yesterday for the Enhancement.  Now here's my question to those of you  that have had this work done already.  Is there anything I should watch for when I get the bike back?  Did you notice any difference in you bikes after the fact.  From what I have been told since I use the Vance and Hines FuelPAk I should not have to retune the bike, hopefully this is correct.

I'm sure i'm just being a worry wart since my baby is not in its garage but I'm sure some of you can understand

thanks for the replies in advance

I would have it re-tuned first off the closed loop injection cant compensate for any changes and the remaper just fools it into a new set of parameters anything that changes these would warrent a re tune. probably not much an hour of dyno time is cheap insurance. the last thing you want is to run that thing lean and compound the rear cylinder heat thing.

To the best of my knowledge there is nothing in the 'fix' that should in and of itself necessitate a tune.  If you had it dailed in prior to the work I think it will be just fine.  Did not modify my sert tune after the fix and it runs fine.  Don't worry, be happy, ride and enjoy.

when the service manager called he said he had the parts.  When I set this up about a month ago I told them I would not have the bike in the shop unless the parts were in as well.
