My guess is it was just a point of finality...even the most casual observer will see that Howie has not posted since then. 

 

Not only observing Howie's lack of post, I've noticed that a good handfull of other long time members have not posted for awhile - whats up with that??

In looking at some posts in the last couple of weeks it is easy to add 2 + 2 & come up with 4.  You may need to read between the lines a little but it is pretty obvious what has happened.

After 50/something post everyone is still guessing or trying to guess what's going on with hoist.
So what's the big secret?

Hoist has left this site.
It would have been a lot easier if he had stepped up and said it.
But then, there would have been no drama. And Hoist loves drama.

This is the internet, good people come and good people go.
Almost like life.
Chit happens and we move on.

So, where did he go and why?
If you want to know, click on his profile and send him a pm.
He will answer you. He's that kind of person.

There has been discussion about others that are not as active on this site as they use to be.
Where are they? Click on their profile and send them a pm and ask them.
I have yet to meet anyone from this site that I wouldn't invite to my home. They are all good people and they will respond.

So how does all of this affect this site. It doesn't. It's life, people come and people go.
It has been and still is a rough winter. But soon we all will be out riding, having fun and getting together with our friends.
And this site will contine on, thanks to our great owner, the excellent moderators and an incredible group of members.

And for that, I'm thankful!

Good words there Chip.  Couldn't agree more.  Have had the pleasure of meeting so many great friends through this site.  The technical information, the socialization through rides and GTG's, the sharing of experiences and all the great things that go along with these do nothing but help perpetuate the desire to keep riding and being involved in the CVO community. 

Always hate to see good folks leave the site for whatever reason, but the fact remains that a tremendous amount of great folks remain here on the site and hopefully, some of those that have chosen to leave will find there way back here when it feels right for them.  In the meantime, I look forward to all the great things that go along with the friendships that we have developed through meeting great people from this site.

So very well put! I have never meet Hoist I have meet Spiderman and to me there just alike love attention and thats just what we're all doing. Neither one liked the way things were run and they took there marbles and left. I really liked Brian but Hey! it's Neil's site NOT THERE"S. So lets move on and have fun, I love this site and have meet aton of great friends and want to meet even more!
