I forgot how bad my local Sears is.  I went there to buy it yesterday.  They had it marked at $35.99 on the shelf.  I was the only customer in the automotive section and the employee there completely ignored me.  I finally called over to him and told him that this was shown online for $12.99.  He said, "I'd have to check that."  I thought that was what he was doing back at the counter and I waited for a few moments and then looked over and he was stocking some things on the shelves.  I walked out and shouted A-hole on the way out.  I have no idea how my local Sears stays in business.  I have had problems with them every time I have walked in that door, yet I seem to forget and try again, only to be reminded.  Anyway, yes, that's the one. I already have the one just like it with the digital gauge in my SUV and they do work perfectly as intended.
Must be something about Sears employees.... I stopped by Sears today on my way home from work and walk up to ask an employee where the compressors are while he's fooling with an anti-shoplifting alarm that he can't get shut off. Before he could answer my question he asks me if I know how to turn this device off (obviously he couldn't read "Fire" was on the patch of my jacket and not "Police"). He then directed me to the aisle w/all the larger home/shop compressors. Couldn't find it on that aisle so I went back to ask him again and look in a tool catalog they had on the checkout stand. He still had no idea where it was and asked another associate if he knew where they were. Luckily this guy had a few more brain cells and took me to where they were located (BTW - in my Sears they were over near car batteries). Once I found it they had it marked at $24.99 and I asked the associate about this and he told me they were on sale, so if you are able to find them and the price doesn't show the sale price make sure you tell them you saw it on the internet for $12.99. :2vrolijk_21:

I didn't read the reviews.  I didn't have to, since I already have the digital one, and they work.  They aren't fast.  I probably had to stand there for 10 minutes while my SUV tire inflated.  I would have to think that it either worked for someone or it didn't.  That would mean a 5 if it worked for me and a 1 if it didn't.  I can't imagine what in between ratings could possibly mean, unless they expected a tire to inflate in seconds with that little tiny device.  I was totally impressed.

With the cartridges, I've seen too many different answers as to how many of them you need to inflate a tire and once they are used, you have to buy more.  The compressors are a one time buy.

I went through the finding it part a few years ago when I bought my first one.  I remembered that they were in the automotive section and I found them on my own immediately.

The emergency drive belt is similar to the old chain with a master link, and can be threaded around the pulleys and then connected just like the old chains.  This would definitely be the way to go rather than carrying a spare regular belt, unless you are equipped to disassemble half the bike on the side of the road.

BTW, this is as the name implies, for emergency use only.  Kind of like one of those mini-spares on a car, treat it gently and get it changed out ASAP.

Regarding the H-D emergency belt -- has anyone confirmed that it will work on the current crop?  Especially the 110" CVO bikes?  When I look at the details on the H-D page, theyonly list it as being available for up to '06 model years, and it specifically is not listed in the bike specific section for my SERK.  I would wonder if the increased power/torque would tear it up even when limping to a dealer.  BTW, what's the tooth count of the belt on my SERK?

the width of the drive belts have decreased a couple of times in the last few years, i doubt the kit would be suitable for the later cvo bikes!
