I have tried every way to make the back reat on my 2009 SEUC work with no luck. Is there a better back rest out there?

What have you tried and what's still wrong with it?  Did you try switching the base front bracket from under to over the bracket that mounts to the frame?  Are you getting the back rest down into the lowest position.  Between those adjustments and the position of the base itself, and the small adjustment on the back of the backrest, there are an awful lot of combinations to try.  I have switched mine at least 15 times already, and I think I may have it just about right now.  I thought I had it last week, and then as soon as I started to ride, I realized that it had me sitting too far forward and cramped my leg room.  With the angles seeming just right, I moved the base back a slot again.  It seems to feel real good, but I just did it a few hours ago and I haven't had a test ride yet.

Let me know if you aren't sure what I'm talking about with the under and over thing with the bracket.

The only adjustment I did not make is the bracket under the seat. I want the backrest back a bit so I hope it's not already there. I'll take a look today and let you know.

I modified my driver backrest bracket to make it work.
I will try and find the post where I have the pictures.
First step is to try the factory options...the flip 1abastarmda is talking about I think are in the pictures.

Look at this thread muddypaws and you will see what I did to make mine work...some have used portions of the mod without going to the extremes I used.  Try the flip in my first photo first... ride it and see if that is enough.  I have no regrets with my mods but they are not reversible.

Thanks.  I just got back home and was going to search for those posts you made a while back.  I did the flipping of the bracket, but I never cut mine off like you did.  The result was the first time I sat on it, I pushed back real hard with my back against the rest, and it made a small crater on each side under the rear of the base.  Since they were both the same...nice and symmetrical, they actually look like theu are supposed to be there.  I've since tried it in each hole setting, and I think I'm back to the 2nd from the front now.  Anyway, it works and I shortcutted your method slightly, and the results come out fine that way also.  Doing it this way, it is reversible.
