Who makes a good comfortable solo seat??
« on: March 01, 2009, 01:28:15 PM »

Morning!

My 2008 SERK is geting ready for spring,  and I would like to get a solo seat for her...  I loved the Harley SunDowner seat as it had EXCELLENT lower back support...I saw the Signature Series Solo Seat w/backrest for sale on HD Forums,  but I wanted to get some other opinions...

My stock seat has the driver back-rest,  but I would prefer not to use it for looks...  Just need something with a deep pocket for my 'arse'

Thx in advace!

Hey Scott

You get the leather TP mounted?

I'll sound like a broken record to many here but I Love my C&C solo seat. Call Chuck. He is a great guy. www.ccseats.com  He's got a store on eBay too.

if you want MAXIMUM comfort get a police seat. - i got mine plus a spare on ebay for 75 bux all parts included each set. i have seen a parts list and its close to a grand new. i have done this conversion on two ultras, i have found that the air fittings and air line wont work well used - so get the air fittings and the air line new. you need to be creative to mount the air res so its out of sight. just think outside the box.

if you want it to look cool get a mustang police seat - get a ebay set for the mounting parts [lots of itsy parts] and then get the mustang seat to go on it. [mustang wont sell you the mounting parts, only the seat & optional seat back]

I've had four Corbin seats so far and I wouldn't go with any other solo seat. The only problem with Corbin is if you want the passenger seat it gets expensive. And if you want the pasenger sissy bar get a loan from Obama!! I have a SERG and I got the parchment grey solo studded, it looks great with the silver/tit,grey paint.

We can make this happen!

The police seats are comfy. I rode the one my department has before I retired. Just raise my butt up too much!

Hey, deaf1! That ad is just for the passenger pillion that Mustang makes. They rider seat is the stock Harley police seat, I believe.

Anyone have the:?????????????????????

Signature Series Solo Seat with Rider Backrest

The perfect combination of foam density and shape has resulted in our most comfortable seat for long haul touring. The seat is shaped with a wide seating area to spread the pressure across the broad surface and a narrow nose area to keep your legs together for a shorter reach to the ground. It features a built-in, fully adjustable and removable rider backrest for added support. The backrest provides a 5-position height adjustment with 1.5" range, and a wide range of forward/back adjustment with the quick twist of the control knob. The backrest pad features a sleek shape that provides full lower back support without pushing the rider forward. When combined with the comfortable Passenger Pillion P/N 51770-09 (sold separately), the slim profile of the rider backrest offers the passenger a few more inches of space, and the fold-down design permits easy passenger mounting/dismounting. The rich vinyl seating surface is easy to clean and maintain, and features an embossed Bar & Shield logo on the side skirts.

I have had a Corbin solo and two up on my 01 Roadking. It is at least twice as comfortable than any stock seat that I have ever rode on. You can ride all day, step off and not be hurting. I bought the two up first for when the wife and I rode. I liked the solo's look and tried it and have know regrets...You can add a backrest or get a pillion for when someone joins you. I just wish they made something to fit my 07 FXSTSSE better.
