Here's a picture that I took of mine installed.  The picture was originally very dark so I lightened it up quite a bit so that you can see the baffle.  It's still not a great pic so if it's hard to tell let me know and I'll take another one the next sunny day we get here.

You can look at the picture on Harley's web page (see the part number above) but it's hard to tell how it mounts in that pic.

It mounts to pre-existing holes in the fork and only costs about $25.

I am also fine with the wind breaker on the SERK. I have added the baffle on the day of the delivery, and it makes all the difference in the world.

Ride safely,
Louis

Is the part #58520-79TC a H-D number??

I don't care for my stock windshield when I do some heavy traveling.  I went with the tinted mid shield for my longer distance travels.  It protects me from the wind better.  When I ride locally I use the stock or not one at all.  Nothing wears you out faster than traveling 500 miles on a highway and your upper body is constantly fighting the wind.

I agree.  Rode without the windshield for the first time today.  380 miles later, I'm wore out.  It's surprising how much of a change/workout it is when you're used to cruising at 80 with a windshield and trying to do the same without.

I actually prefer the wind deflector myself. I wear a full face helmet when I wear one and goggles when I don't. I like the wind in the face but the wind deflector keeps it off my body. I have a standard height windshield for the long rides with the wife on the back. I much prefer the look with the wind deflector myself. Thinking about tinting the windshield too. Not sure though. I got a clearview recurve standard height too and didn't like the look of it. I still have it but never use it. I am 5'11" too. Some like it, some don't. I like my deflector and ride with it everywhere.

I like the stock windscreen as well - I'm only 5'10", so the stock shield does a decent job of directing the wind over my head.  I wear a modular or full face out on the highway and a 3/4 helmet with a full-length clear shield around the city.  Don't notice much in the way of buffeting.  I like the lower, darker look of the stock shield since it blends in with the lower, meaner look of the bike in general (Profile Low rear suspension, lower profile tires, etc...)  Have not ridden with the windscreen off and probably never will.  I did add a similar windscreen to my CVO Springer (although the tint is much lighter).  That works well for me also.....
