Do you keep your tuner with you on the bike?
« on: March 09, 2009, 01:18:16 PM »

I have the SE Pro Super Tuner and I have been leaving it here on the shelf.  When you take off for a trip, should you take that with you?  If you broke down, is there any reason that it would be needed?  I'm wondering if it's something I should keep with the bike.  Any thoughts?  My last tuner was a PC III and it was mounted on the bike.  I never had one before that didn't mount to the bike and now I'm baffled.

Yep. Stays w/ the bike when traveling. You take, you won't need it. Leave it home, well, you know how that goes.

Good question, well presented!

I guess tuning from my Blackberry is out of the question.  Anyway, thanks everyone.  I guess it goes in the saddlebag from now on.

I take my dongle (man that sounds bad  :D) when I travel. I also go one step further I have my current map stored at my email account in case it was needed (you could do that or have it stored on a thumb drive).

Be careful when travelling with the dongle..... i've heard that cold weather can have an adverse effect on its uhm..performance. ;D
