I just installed the George Anderson tour pack relocation kit and I am sure the wife will love it.  Has anyone done anything to kind of hide the gap above the fender inbetween the bottom seat and tour pack?  Maybe some type of piece of plastic or a piece of black vinyl or something?  Anyone have any ideas or photos of what you have done?  Thanks.

I was thinking about the gap myself awhile back and thought of the idea of having a board cut to fill the gap and have it upholstered to match the seat. You could secure it with the strong version of Velcro to the top of the amp. It would also be held in by making it a tight fit and by the BSR sitting on it. It would be easily removable to access the bolt for the main seat.
I have NOT done anything to make one though.

I was kind of thinking along the lines of having a black piece of vinyl or leather and putting velcro on the back of the seat and take it up to the bottom of the tour pack also with velcro.  Kind of the same idea, but no board.  Hopefully someone out there has come up with something that works and looks good.  Keep me posted if you hear of any other good ideas.

I agree about the gap but I am greatful about the xtra room    from the relocator

The wife usually uses the extra space for storage of some type of garment (sweater, etc) or something else. She secures the garment in a vinyl bag with velcro straps, she picked up at Walmart. She's innovative when it comes to finding ways to store things on the bike for riding.

I haven't gotten the relocation kit yet, but I did think ahead to the gap it would make.  On the 09 SEUC, there is a black pleather filler or drape that fills that space in stock.  I just figured that if I put the relocator on, I would stick a piece of velcro on the bottom edge of the drape and a piece of velcro on the back edge of the seat and I think the rest is obvious.  That looked to be a real easy fix, at least in my mind.

I don't know if you have the same thing on the 07 that the 09 has.  Mine has a piece of pleather that fills the area from the bottom of the passenger backrest to the seat, covering the front of the tourpack, so you can't see the painted area.  You have the leather tourpack, so they probably didn't need to do that on yours.  There's not much to take a picture of on mine, since I don't even have the relocator installed and probably won't until next winter.

Not sure how well that would work.  With the TP moved back the full 2 1/2 inches, it doesn't leave a whole lot of slack in the drape.  You would be able to get it to attach to the seat, but it would be pulled taut.  I think the first time your BSR sat on it, the drape would be pushed off.  I don't think that I would want to attach a piece of velcro to my leather seat either, even though it is hidden from view.

I would have to agree with your there.  If you move it back 2.5", the BSR would pull that apart as soon as they sat down.  Now, for my next idea, since you aren't buying into that one...how about pulling the seam out of the bottom of the drape, stuffing some foam in there to give it some bulk, and sewing it back together.  At least the stitching would be at the bottom where it can't be seen, if you don't have someone real good to stitch it back together.  Hey, I'm on a fishing expedition here...gimme a break.

OK, I've found a cheap, easy solution for mine.  A guy at the shop had a spacefiller made for him - cost about $20, and mounted to a form fitting vinyl pillow (could have been leather - not sure), which filled in the space nicely.  After a while, I remembered that I had a similar sized item collecting dust in the garage.  A couple of years ago, I bought a seat cover/vibrator for my 2005 Mustang (which had horrible lower back support).  It had a cushion for the lower back which strapped into the crease of the seat.  Sure enough, it fit into the gap just about perfectly.

The first picture shows the gap.  The second is the lower back portion of the seat cover, and the third shows it installed.  It is a nice tight fit, with no possibility of falling out, although it does have a velcro strap on the back, if necessary.  My wife tells me that lower back support is noticibly improved when it is in place.  As a bonus, it also has a built-in battery operated vibration mechanism with an on/off switch.

If you get a chance, could you post a photo of what it looks like without the pillow in there.  Your first pic shows the gap, but with the drape obviously pulled up and out of the way.  I don't have the relocator yet and have thought about it.  I'd like to see what the gap really looks like with the way it would sit without doing anything.  It can't be as bad an indicated in that first photo.  It does look like a good solution that you found, but I'm assuming we don't all just happen to have one of those contraptions sitting idle in our garages, and I'm guessing that when you purchased that item, it probably wasn't real cheap and also may be difficult to locate one now.

I am going to look in to having something made in the form of a pillow that fits in to that area.  Any thoughts or suggestions anyone??
