My wife is happy - it's a good day!
« on: March 14, 2009, 08:35:43 PM »

Finally got my better half out on the bike today, amid great doubts and uncertainties on her part. She was used to the Heritage & was not keen on riding something different.  To make matters worse, she had sat on the bike (without riding) when I first brought it home, and the seat was much more cramped and uncomfortable than the Mustang seat on the Heritage.  So, with the Tour-pak moved back & the floorboards adjusted, we headed out to the local dealer for their St. Patty's day event.  I'm happy to report that she loved it, and found it to be comfortable and spaceous - thank God!  I think that she now has a renewed appreciation of being a passenger, and now has the confidence to forget about the Heritage.

My last bike was a Heritage too.  My wife loves this 08 SEUC.  I just asked her if she thought it was cramped but she said she just feels like shes more protected (if that's the right word) because the tourpac kind of wraps around her and then my back rest in front of her.  She said it's a way more comfortable ride though with the large backrest and soft fat girl (her words not mine :)) seat.

I still own a Heritage and a 09 CUSE. I owned an 08 Ultra before the CUSE that we only put 2665 miles on. The wife loves the stereo and the comfortable seat on the Ultra, but still digs jettin around on the Heritage more. She is happy just to be with me in the wind. (snicker haha, My words not Hers)

I hate to say this (especially after spending 40 large), but the wife likes this one better, more room, and no annoyances!

Yeah, I miss my Heritage too.  Not that I don't love the CVO, mind you... I just wish that I could have afforded to keep both.

Oh, we have some twisted people on this forum. :'(   I've been using "woode" as my username for 20 years (duh - last name/first initial) & never noticed the significance of the combination.  Looking back at some other posts, it explains some of the comments that others have made.

If it weren't such an appropriate descriptive term, I would be annoyed.  As it turns out, I think it's a badge of honor, and I hold my head up high... so to speak. 8)

Here's another view.  I wished I could have this one too.  When I get the SEUC paid off I'm going looking for another one.

That's the nicest thing anyone has said to me here!  Thank you!  (We are kidding after all).

Man.......that sounds familiar.  Fortunately I was able to find a nice, low mileage 2002 FLHR to add to my fleet.  Still.......it isn't my 02 Ultra, but it has wormed it's way into my heart.
