Now that they've apparently done everything right on Ultra's, and I have one, they can stop for a year or two. How about another year of the Road Glide (with T/P), a Street Glide (w/o T/P) and a Softail Deluxe (fully loaded, with a fifties paint scheme), and ... you choose!

Ride safely,

That's the 'scary' part.  :nervous: har!  spyder
Actually, they're voices but he's convinced himself they're thoughts. :nervous:

I don't know if or when the Street Glide would be a CVO, that's specualtion on my part, too (or is that the voices?).

I do know that the Street Glide just passed the Ultra Classic as the top seller of baggers in the past couple of weeks.
Heh now!!!! :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

As we all know in 2004 and 2005 Harley Davidson produced the hottest selling model of bike of all time. Yes they were the FLHTCSE and FLHTCSE2. IMHO the best bike ever built by the motor company. Since they never thought about producing the bike a third year, they came out with a new model THE STREET GLIDE. It was just a matter of time till it out sold all other touring models. The numbers of FLHTCSE's does not reflect the popularity of the bikes as they were produced in 2004 in very limited numbers. I think the total between the 2 colors in 2004 was 2700 to 2800 with the O/B being the rearest at 813 produced. The people who still have them know what they have. I know I will be buried with mine. I never thought I would keep a bike this long and still have such passion for "Ole Punkin"

So if we see a CVO Street Glide will it actually be a Street Glide of a FLHTCSE3

I think in 2006 they blew the roof off with production numbers. I think your numbers are low Also the number you have on the 04 O/B if that is correct then the number I have are US units.

Just an FYI for the inquiring minds wanting to know.......Street Glide has now taken the lead in sales of all the bagger models.

I'm thinkin it has to be around the corner for a CVO. :nixweiss:

Where does this information come from?  I was just told this week that the Ultra is still the #1 seller by someone at the dealer.  I then spoke with someone in customer support and told them that I heard the Ultra was no longer #1 and he laughed and said he always wonders where these rumors get started.  I was actually calling about the kickstand issue and finding out the date of manufacture of my bike.  When I explained that my bike was built in October 08 and that the information I had was that the wrong bracket was put on through 10-02-08, he laughed about that and said again, that this was an unfounded statement and that Harley acknowledges the problem, but there is no particular date other than sometime in October.  He said it was possible that mine, manufactured on 10-29-08, could have had the wrong bracket and the only way to tell was taking it off to see.  Which brings me to another point.  I bought my bike on 11-5-08, and it sat on the floor for one day, and was probably received at least one day before that, so it only took from being built on Wednesday to arriving at the dealer on Monday.  That's pretty quick.

In 06 with the paint problems they shut down production for 1 month until the problem was identified, then at end of production year for 6 weeks to dedicate the staff at fixing the problem. If the numbers quoted, from a letter sent to members of this site are for USA only then the total will be a bunch higher, not lower. All the MOCO is ever willing to tell us is the TOTAL, not just USA. Keeps us wondering. Also, a good search of this site will yield you copies of the letters for all those numbers, not something I made up.  Dave

I know where 4 are.

And Mike, as far as your statement,

Mike, read the site.
Go to the SEEG section and read the production numbers straight from Harley.

As always, there exist the possibility that you know more about model production numbers than Harley does, but I doubt it!

Where does this information come from?

You'll just have to take my word for it...........or not.  Let me just say that I've been here a few years and when I post something as fact, it's never been shown to be otherwise. :nixweiss:  I can say the same for a few others that have been around here a few years. :2vrolijk_21:

Back to the thread! It is no surprise to me that the Street Glide is #1. There is sooooo many ways to personalize that bike. To me it is the ultimate bagger, just like the '04-'05 SEEGs. Yes, I wish in hindsight that I would have got the '05, but Lil-Bit loves that Queens Throne on the Ultra bikes. Yes I do care what my partner likes. When the '06 was released and it was an Ultra we were sold sight unseen (Bad Idea) and through 25K down right now. It was a better idea to get the '05 and add the Queens Throne. Wish we had. Anyone out there want to trade a Banana for an '06 Chrimson with CORRECT paint?

HDI is always a maximum of 25% of the total. It might be less fore the CVO's, as those appear only after several months ('09's started delivery in Europe only in January 2009 as opposed to July 2008 in the states), so it could be around 12 to 18%.
