Recall list website?
« on: March 16, 2009, 10:08:44 PM »

Forgive me if this has been covered but trying to dig through all of the threads overwhelmed me a little...

Does anyone know of a web site or link off of the Harley web site that will let you plug in your VIN and tell you all of the applicable recalls?

I have an '08 SERK and in reading through all of the threads I realize there are several recalls regarding the 110 motor, the filter case, etc.  The problem is that most of the threads that I found show the recalls starting right around the time my bike was delivered (July '08) so I don't know if the work was completed before shipment.

I know I could just go to the dealer for this but I just wondered if there's a web site that could tell me as well so that I can make sure I'm not getting my chain yanked in the process...  :o

Go to the MoCo website click on "Owners" scroll down to service check up and put your VIN in there. That should pull up recalls for your bike. :nixweiss:

Also check this list out I got from Google'n Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Recalls (<- click on the link).

I tried the HD link under the owner's section... the only thing it came back with was the next service check-up recommendation.  Do you think that implies that all recalls have been taken care of?

Maybe, maybe not. :nixweiss: I believe the bikes that needed the "campaign" done it would show up there. Did you try any of the sites from google search?

I tried the Google search and I see that Fisher Price has recalled their Harley Davidson's.  Apparently the floorboard sticks, causing the bike not to stop moving.  I was going to send them an e-mail and tell them to get the floorboard extensions to take care of that problem.
