Don't think I'll be there any time soon Ernie but this points out something that can be really deadly. Pot holes suck! Pure and simple, they suck. But the ones that form along the longitudinal joints are perhaps the most treacherous of them all. They can be all but impossible to see, especially during the dark and in the rain. Once you get in them it's almost impossible to get out. In the cold parts of the world that's typically where pavements start to degrade. Typically, depending on the number or lanes, you'll find them at or near the white line and in the center line. These are damn good places to avoid.

'Tis a jungle out there.

That blows. At least he documented it well and can it CALTRANS or County to pay for the damages to the scooter.

But hey here on Hwy 880 here looks like a Main Street in  Bangalore, especially around Oakland where the heavy truck traffic is concentrated on from the Port of Oakland. Lane 3 is sinking and it's just too hazardous for 2-wheels.
Where is the bail out money for "shovel ready projects" Mr. Teleprompter- President-?

That's what I was thinkin Joe.........looks like typical roads all over the bay area.  I hit that Hwy. 101 area a couple weeks ago on my way to Andy's.....it jolted my back pretty good.

NCOM (National Coalition of Motorcyclists) Attorney Richard Lester  (offices all over Calif. and an attorney that works with Modified Motorcycle Association)  used to have a post card that the members would mail to whatever municipality was responsabile, notifying them of a particular location that was a life/safety issue.....putting them on notice that they're now 100% liable for any accident, injury or death, now that it had been brought to their attention.
