Are you talking about those stupid, convoluted, afterthought, nasty-azz lines by the oil filter?  :(

There was thread somewhere awhile back where we were all bichn about them but I don't remember anyone coming up w/ a good solution.

hddocfl,

Can you give a little explanation on how you re-routed that oil line, please?

It looks like there is a new brass fitting on the right side (in the picture) of the oil cooler at the bottom. The line that should go to the left side of the cooler now goes to that fitting, but there is another line coming up from somewhere underneath on the left side that goes to the hookup on that side of the oil cooler...

I'm a little confused!

Thanks for all the great pictures.  I may go the re-routing route if I don't find a part that does this.

I used the engine guard as a cooler and to hold more oil which it holds and extra qt. The brass fittings go in one side of the engine guard and out the other with another fitting, I ran the oil line so it runs in series with the HD cooler. I need the switch out the brass fittings to steel as soon as I get my bike back from the dealers, They are replacing the transmission and inner primary which let go on me about two weeks ago. If you want,  go to Twin Cam section and look at the pics I posted there under engine gaurd oil cooler.  Doc

The engione guard cooler idea has been around since the 70s or before, I have used it on many bikes with great success, this is the first time I have used one in series with an HD cooler and it works well to keep oil temp tank temps down and the 3/8" hoses off the regulator. The hardest part is getting the inside of the engine guard cleaned out. HD is replacing my Transmission right now if anyone wants more pics I have a post on the twin cam page (Engine Guard Cooler)
