May God be with each of the families in this time of need. In the 70's and 80's is wasn't so bad. The bad guys we deal with these days don't have any value for the life of another individual. It used to just be other peoples property they hurt. It's going to take a very loud public outcry for anything to be done to keep them locked down longer and overhaul the criminal justice system.
It has been a good ride, almost 36 years, when it isn't fun any longer I am going home. Gotta do something other than riding or playing golf though.

I share your thoughts and prayers.  I just wrapped up 31 years on the job and feel fortunate to have made it out alive, given the number of friends I have lost in the process. 
I have to take issue with your comment on riding and playing golf tho.  What else is there?
