Today I decided was the perfect day to go pick up the Vrod from the dealer.  It had been on consignment and has not sold so I needed to do the ol switcharoo! I've been having so much fun riding Ol' Yella that I never got around to it.  Anyway, today was the day.  While waddling around eating some killer burgers prepared by the Cartersville HOG chapter, I walked over to talk to a buddy of mine.  He was talking to this really tall guy in a SE sweatshirt.  He asked me a couple questions about the 'Nana and then told me he had just bought the Yellow SERG.  I told him, "There's a site just for CVO owners..."  Before I finished the sentence, he said, "I'm on there."  Then we both said, "What's your screenname?"  Turns out Greg and I have exchanged PMs a time or two because he lives nearby and knows the guy who owned the shop where ReThreadz was.  We talked for a few more minutes while his daughter and son-in-law bought their first Harley, a Rocker C.  He told me that I'm the first person he'd actually met from the site, but that he's going on a ride next week with a few members from the CVO site to welcome in spring up at Deal's Gap.  I told him he's in for a treat and how great you guys are!!! He's excited about the ride and meeting the CVO crew!  I made Doc take a pic of us with my camera phone just so I could post it here.  I know a few of you have already become friends with 04SE103, but I hope the rest of you make him feel welcome.  He's a nice guy, has a lovely family, and a beautiful yellow SERG (and a Pumpkin but it was at home). 

BTW, I love his Yellow SERG!!!!!  Even though I was trying not to look at it too much for fear that I'd want another bike!!  I did slow down to take a second glance though.  I really want to try riding a Roadglide.  :-)

04SE103, tell your daughter congratulations again for me!  If you need someone to ride it home for you, don't hesitate to give me a call!  I've been wanting to try the Rocker!

As I was pulling out, a couple rode up on a gold SE Road King (aka "Elvis" or Spiderman's SERK which I believe is now MJZ's SERK).  I didn't stop to ask if they were members on the site, but hopefully if they are, they will read this thread and introduce themselves.

Greg I was going to try and take a pic of you at the 411 split but I was too mesmerized by the SERG's taillights.  Are those LEDs?  Vertical inlays or bars? That was the first time I've seen one in motion and I was too busy trying to look at the details to get my phone out of my pocket before the light changed! 

 

I bet it looks good sitting next to the Pumpkin!!  Take pics and post please! 

Fired00d, the yellow is an orangy-yellow not a bright, freakin' canary yellow like the Banana.  I bet the two look great side-by-side.  The banana is almost too loud next to the Vrod.  (And note I said, "almost," but the gold tribal flames play on the Vrod play off the dark orange pinstripes on the EG and I get all giddy inside and start agonizing over which one I like best!)

Wow  were close, We rode down to Dalton and on through Chattsworth and back to Ooltewah. The wife looked at a fatboy  (other than me ) and a Heritage but she rode her sporty home.  Maybe Ill meet some folks sooner or later.
